Frequently asked questions

Understanding the product.

ChemLib is evolving quickly. These answers describe its current product direction rather than promising functionality that has not been validated.

Is ChemLib an ELN?

It includes a chemistry ELN, but the product is broader: compound knowledge, biology, projects, inventory, purchasing, equipment and laboratory operations share one connected workspace.

Who is ChemLib designed for?

The initial focus is academic medicinal chemistry laboratories, early-stage biotech teams, small discovery CROs and translational research groups.

Can we export our data?

ChemLib supports domain-appropriate exports including reports, CSV, SDF, ZIP and ICS. A commercial data-portability policy and complete migration service will be defined before general availability.

Does ChemLib replace ChemInventory or instrument software?

No. It can integrate with ChemInventory while leaving it as the inventory source of truth, and it imports selected instrument exports without pretending to replace acquisition software.

Is Computational scientifically validated?

It is marked Beta. The workflows record parameters and provenance, but docking scores remain calculated hypotheses rather than measured affinities. Broader redocking and interaction validation remain on the roadmap.

Is ChemLib suitable for regulated GxP use?

ChemLib is not currently marketed as a validated GxP, 21 CFR Part 11 or regulated manufacturing system. Those claims require formal organisational and product validation beyond ordinary software features.

Is it hosted or installed locally?

The primary commercial direction is hosted SaaS. On-premise or customer-managed deployment may be evaluated where there is a strong need, but it is not currently the default offer.

How is ChemLib licensed?

The intended model is one active licence for the whole laboratory, with full product, maintenance and security updates included—not a separate fee for every researcher. Final pilot and commercial pricing has not yet been set.

How can a laboratory join the pilot?

Share your team size, current workflow and the main problem you want to solve. Pilot participation will prioritise teams willing to provide structured product feedback.
